The hangar Hotel

Hangar Hotel is the name, back in time is the game. Based on Fredericksburg’s early aviation and rich military past, the hotel is a recreation of an old WWII military hangar, familiar to many aviation and history buffs. This one of a kind, fifty room, adults only hotel sets the standard for style and romance of the period.

The architecture of the Hangar Hotel resembles, most closely, an old wooden hangar at Brooks AFB in San Antonio, Texas. The rounded roof design, however, is reminiscent of many WWII hangars throughout the United States. The National Museum of The Pacific War, located on Main Street Fredericksburg, provided valuable information regarding early flight and WWII activities in Fredericksburg and the surrounding area.

Guest rooms feature décor and furniture of the WWII period. Custom made chairs of the era are constructed of soft, comfortable leather. Sleigh beds, with rattan inserts, and complimentary furniture are of mahogany. Bathrooms feature custom made white hex floor tile and black and white wall tile that are reminiscent of baths of old. All rooms are king size, nonsmoking, with no provisions for pets or children under 18.

The second floor observation deck is a fantastic location to relax and enjoy the view. The hotel is located immediately adjacent to the airport and is therefore a great place to watch the planes come and go. The airport is commonly visited by all types of aircraft, from single engine planes to multi-engine jets and helicopters. You never know what you might see while taking it easy on our wonderful observation deck.  

 

​Our Officers' Club is currently closed for repairs. On a normal basis, The Officers' Club, our full service onsite bar, is your perfect choice for a memorable evening out. The mahogany and granite fireplace, soft leather furniture, grand piano and regulation pool table, provide a quiet, relaxing environment to join friends before and after a dinner engagement. A private party room, "The Briefing Room" located within the Officer's Club, is available for small private parties.
