The airport diner

Watch the aircraft while you dine

The Airport Diner is a classic 1940s diner, located next door to the Hangar Hotel and immediately adjacent to the Gillespie County Airport aircraft parking ramp. From the booths, you can watch airplanes and other aircraft come and go while enjoying great sandwiches, breakfast any time we’re open, and the daily blue plate specials.

Our vintage Diner is not just a place to grab some food, but rather a unique atmosphere to relax and enjoy a good meal while reliving the past.  And you never know what you might see land just outside the window!

We serve classic breakfast favorites like pancakes and omelets as well as popular lunch options such as salads, wraps and sandwiches. If you’re really hungry try and tackle a bomber burger or a chicken fried chicken plate – a couple of our all-time favorites. Make sure you save room for dessert! Our famous shakes and malts (prepared with locally made ice-cream) are sure to please.
